This coursework is highly synchronized with the task lists of International credentialing bodies such as the Behavior Analyst Certification Board BACB, Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Board QABA BOARD and ABAI guidelines that define the standards for Behavior Analysis Training Programs around the world, which have been integrated into Education to resonate with the needs of African communities at large.
West African COMM & VB Certificate
This is a 45-hour course of college-based instruction. The Communication and Verbal Behavior Certificate Programme leads to the granting of a Certificate in Speech & Verbal Behavior [Speech & VB-Cert] upon completion of the coursework and passing the competency Test after 3 months. This qualifies the student as a Speech and verbal Behavior Technician who can competently function across African Countries. This Certificate provides for educational advancement and professional mobility globally as the student can elect to seek further training towards credentialing as RBT with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board [BACB] by writing RBT International Board examination or with the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Board [QABA BOARD] by writing the ABA-Tech International Board Examination.
West African/Education - IBI Certificate
The program, Applied Behavior Analysis, like Medicine or Clinical Psychology, aspires to train students to international standards, equipping them with the necessary advanced knowledge, skill, and professionalism to tackle the myriad behaviors of social significance in the world at large. The wide applicability of the principles of behavior analysis and acquisition of this knowledge and skill by the students will transform them into more knowledgeable and effective parents, efficient servers of the teeming population of persons with developmental, and intellectual disabilities and various addictive behaviors, as well as rescue the declining academic performance of our youths for a better society. Finally, it seeks to provide students with the requirements for international certification and recognition to ply their trade in any part of the world.
